ZW provided full Project Management services for this 29,000 sq. m. project and the early works renovations to the adjacent Parkade. ZW was awarded the assignment in 2010 for the new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, previously called the Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon, and facilitated all project management needs through to completion.

Saskatchewan is one of only two provinces in Canada that do not yet have a dedicated children’s hospital. Recognizing this need, Saskatoon Regional Health Authority and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health are undertaking the design and construction of a new hospital in Saskatoon. As a regional and provincial centre, the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital will be a resource not only to residents of the area, but to the entire province of Saskatchewan.

This state-of-the-art maternal and children’s health care facility will provide services for general pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, and maternal care including: antepartum, labour assessment, labour & delivery, and postpartum. The facility will also include an adult and pediatric emergency centre, along with maternal and pediatric outpatient services.

The project is being delivered using a standard Design-Build Procurement Process with funding from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health for construction and the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan for all Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment.
