Expansion:
The 23-bed Kemptville District Hospital serves the residents of North Grenville, Merrickville, Wolford, Augusta, and the southern portion of the City of Ottawa. This expansion project increased the existing 50,000 sq. ft. building by two-thirds. An additional 3,500 sq. ft. of existing space was renovated.

Renovations:
This project involved renovations to the Orthopedic Surgery Inpatient and Pharmacy areas of the Kemptville District Hospital. Construction took place in an occupied and functioning clinical area. Infection control was critical. Phasing was required to ensure that the Pharmacy function was maintained at all times. The circa 1950’s building presented dated infrastructure and tight spaces.

Legacy Building Phase II & Medical Ward:
Kemptville District Hospital has built healthier communities in a changed healthcare system by creating new space for outpatient clinics and renovating and upgrading ageing facilities. Phase II of the improvements to the Kemptville Hospital included the second-floor renovation to the nurses’ station and patient room which is a total of 3,100 sq. ft. of space. This project consisted of the Renovation of the Legacy Building which dated back to 1960. The renovations included upgrading Mechanical and Electrical systems; abatement; corridor and Patient Room flooring, ceilings, and walls; medical gas systems; and supplies and linen rooms.
