This project included major renovations to the existing Coronary Care Unit, Day Unit, and Ambulatory Care, and Triage. State-of-the-art equipment installed during the fit-up of the Electrophysiology lab, genetics lab, and core pathology, provide the setting for world-leading health care research.

ZW was engaged by The Ottawa Hospital to provide Project Management expertise related to significant upgrades to the Heart Institute Facility. ZW joined the team partway through the project. At that time, several project areas remained to be completed, including: The Genetics Lab on level 3, the EP Lab on level S, and the balance of the Reference Centre on the Main level, which includes the Triage area. ZW assisted The Ottawa Hospital in completing construction of these upgrades, along with services relating to Cost Management; Control and Scheduling; and Planning. This included the monitoring, control, and reporting of all project costs through all stages of the project.
